Fort Jackson is the U.S. Army's largest Initial Entry Training Center.  

In addition to basic training for approximately half of the new recruits who enter each year, the Fort is home to the Soldier Support Institute, the Chaplains Center and School, and the Department of Defense Polygraph Institute.
